FREiBERD has been moved to honor the black, (LGBTQ) experience through an upcoming EP and documentary chronicling Freiberd’s travels to different sites of injustice. Beginning in Florida at the PULSE Nightclub where 49 people lost their lives in a shooting, then to Minneapolis, Minnesota where George Floyd’s life fatally ended, and then to DC at the site of the March on Washington. What set Freiberd on this journey was to find a way to get involved in the progression of this movement, as a Black queer person. Freiberd explores these injustices through a queer lense, and what that means to the black lgbtq community in the thick of Black Lives Matter.
